On January 25th and 29th, New Vitae Wellness and Recovery hosted guests to offer more information about our behavioral health and residential services for Veterans.  First, State Senator Pat Browne and representatives from the Pennsylvania Department of Military and Veterans (DMVA) completed a tour of our supports on January 25, 2018.  In addition to Senator Browne, DMVA members included: Major General (Ret.) Eric Weller, Deputy Adjutant General – Veterans Affairs; Richard Hamp, Director, Bureau of Veterans Programs, Initiatives, Reintegration & Outreach; Chip Gilliland, Chief, Division of Reintegration & Outreach; Andrew Ruscavage, Director, Bureau of Veterans Homes; and Shannan Zerance, Chief Division of Grants.  After touring various residential sites, the DMVA team hosted a meet and greet for the resident Veterans in Recovery.

Additionally, on January 29th, Dr. Michael Adelman, Network Director, VA Healthcare / Veterans Integrated Service Network (VISN – 4) visited New Vitae Wellness and Recovery to learn more about our services for veterans and how we can expand our existing partnership.  Our senior leadership team shared information with both Dr. Adelman and the DMVA team, leading a tour of our residential and clinical services that included the veterans sober living sites and our brain injury services while emphasizing the benefits of our clinical, educational, and vocational supports for Veteran health and recovery.  We are honored to continue to develop our connections to better serve Veterans seeking holistic, trauma-informed behavioral healthcare!
