New Vitae Wellness and Recovery is pleased to announce the development of new residential behavioral health services for male and female veterans, with the opening of a new home in Quakertown. The Veterans Pathways program offers a wider array of individualized housing options for veterans who experience behavioral health, addictions, and/or brain injury symptoms.
“We have expanded our clinical services to veterans to include a Veterans Pathways Home in Quakertown,” said New Vitae President and CEO Judith Yanacek. “We now are able to offer an array of residential-based, trauma-informed treatment options to veterans in various stages of recovery. Veterans Pathways is a sober community that promotes abstinence from substance use, engagement, peer support, self-worth, independent living, vocational skills enhancement, inclusion, and the use of community resources to support recovery.”
New Vitae Wellness and Recovery introduced the new residential services to members of the Veterans Administration and other professionals at a ribbon-cutting ceremony and barbeque on May 31, 2018. Honored guests were treated to a tour of the residences, a cookout, and a resident-led dance troupe routine, as well as a review of the recovery center’s clinical services.
“New Vitae is grateful to be able to present our additional supports for veterans,” Yanacek said. “We look forward to offering these safe spaces where the men and women of our military can access recovery services while utilizing the peer-to-peer support of other veterans.”
