New Vitae Wellness and Recovery was honored to to sponsor a blood donation drive on September 11th, 2017 that commemorated the efforts of local First Responders and benefitted Miller-Keystone Blood Center. Mike Buser, a New Vitae Wellness and Recovery employee and the Safety Officer of Quakertown’s 8705 Fire Police, was on-hand for the drive with one of the unit’s specialized fire vehicles.  During the event, those who donated blood had the opportunity to see the vehicle and hear more about the amazing work of local first responders.

Those who donated also had the opportunity to learn how their blood could be used to help others in an emergency.  For each donation, up to three individuals’ lives may be saved.  We are very proud to be able to assist our local community in a time of need!

All of the individuals who donated were entered to win a prize of dinner and a movie for two people.  Special congratulations to Brianna Norton for being the day’s winner!  Following the event, New Vitae Wellness and Recovery will be donating two radios to Quakertown’s 8705 Fire Police for their continued service to our community.

Special thanks to everyone who donated blood and to everyone who assisted with the day’s events, including Jennifer Leatherman and Mike Buser!  We look forward to hosting another drive in the future!
