Quakertown Arts Alive is an annual arts festival held in downtown Quakertown that encourages vendors and businesses to engage the community for a fun-filled day. New Vitae Wellness and Recovery residents and staff were pleased to participate in this year’s festival on May 18th, 2019, to inform the community about the brain, brain injuries, and New Vitae’s Action Recovery Brain Injury supports.
New Vitae’s table invited participants to engage in various learning activities related to the brain. Children were given crayons, coloring books, pencils, and bubbles for participating in a brain injury awareness activity. New Vitae looked to inform attendees about the importance of wearing a bicycle helmet. Participants who were able to identify parts of the brain were entered into a raffle to win their own helmet. Additional information was available via display boards, including functions of the brain and famous individuals who experienced acquired brain injuries. Staff members were available to answer questions as attendees visited throughout the day.
New Vitae would like to thank Quakertown Alive for an amazing day and for supporting New Vitae’s efforts in spreading awareness about brain injury! To learn more about our Action Recovery program or our other behavioral health treatment programs, contact New Vitae Wellness and Recovery today.
