New Vitae Wellness and Recovery Enjoyed the NAMI LV Race and Walk for Mental IllnessSeptember 30, 2019
New Vitae Wellness and Recovery residents and staff were excited to participate in the NAMI Lehigh Valley Race and Walk for Mental Illness on September 29th, 2019. The event, held at Wayne A. Grube Memorial Park, offered runners and walkers an opportunity to support NAMI’s Lehigh Valley’s critical mission: providing hope and support for individuals dealing with serious and persistent behavioral health challenges. This year’s race saw many community members banding together, with over 300 people participating in the day’s activities!
We shared an incredible day, enjoying the beautiful fall weather and cheering on the runners at the start of the race before taking a walk in the park. Residents and staff enjoyed meeting NAMI Man, sharing refreshments, browsing vendor tables, and participating in the raffles during the event. One of our residents was lucky enough to win raffle prizes, which was a fantastic way to cap off the day!
We look forward to participating in next year’s event and wish to thank NAMI Lehigh Valley and all of the runners/walkers who shared a great day with us!
