Movement can work wonders for good behavioral health!  Not only does physical activity facilitate the release of neurotransmitters that are important to reducing depressive symptoms and anxiety, but the creativity associated with dance as well as the opportunities to build social connections in groups are incredible!

New Vitae Wellness and Recovery is pleased to offer a Movement Therapy team to our residents.  The group welcomes all levels of talent and performs routines for peers and staff.  The group’s most recent performances to commemorate Memorial Day occurred on May 24th and May 28th, 2019.  Residents enjoyed sharing their routine at Quakertown House and at the Recovery Center for a variety of peers, staff, and visitors.

Special thanks and congratulations to everyone who participated in the performances.  We also wish to acknowledge the work and dedication of Brianna Norton, MSW, LSW, who leads the Movement Therapy Group and assists with choreography.  Her creativity and support is another wonderful addition to the services at New Vitae Wellness and Recovery!
