On December 1st, 2018, New Vitae Wellness and Recovery welcomed residents, staff, and family members to holiday open house celebrations at Quakertown House and Mt. Trexler Manor. Attendees enjoyed sharing the start to the holiday season by making fire pit s’mores, meeting with Santa, singing along to carols, and winning a variety of door prizes!
The staff at Quakertown House welcomed guests and residents to participate in a special luncheon. In addition to making s’mores, everyone was invited to complete a snow globe craft while spending time with family and getting an early meeting with Santa. The house was beautifully decorated and visitors had the opportunity to celebrate the spirit of the season with their loved ones.
Mount Trexler Manor residents and staff hosted an early supper, with a guitarist who supplied beautiful holiday music while guests toured the home and wooded grounds while sharing warm s’mores. Santa also made his second stop of the day, offering families the chance to hear their holiday wishes. The laughter and smiles of our residents and families put everyone in the holiday mood!
Throughout the day, families and residents had the opportunity to receive printed photos that could be readily shared, offering an instant holiday memory for families enjoying the day’s fun. Additionally, this year’s holiday card design winners were announced, with their artwork proudly displayed at each site. Congratulations to Ciara S., Holly M., Latoya H., and Eileen C. for winning the 2018 contest, and thank you for your creativity!
