New Vitae Wellness and Recovery hosted its first blood drive on Monday, March 27th, 2017 to benefit the Miller-Keystone Blood Center. The Blood Mobile’s supportive staff assisted us to surpass our original goal of 16 donations; we achieved a ‘grand total’ of 20 blood donations! Those giving blood ranged in age from 18 to 68, with several being first-time donors who shared in the experience of facilitating wellness for those in need. The group of donors was comprised of both New Vitae Wellness and Recovery staff as well as community members. All of our donors have our sincere gratitude for helping to exceed our donation goals!
To show our thanks, a raffle was held to reward donors. The grand prize included 4 tickets to the 3/31 Lehigh Valley Phantoms game. Congratulations to winner Rich Beaumont of Quakertown! We hope you have a wonderful time at the game!
Special thanks to everyone who made the day a success, especially Jennifer Leatherman at the Quakertown Recovery Center who facilitated scheduling the day’s appointments! We look forward to partnering with our community again soon to continue our mission of promoting hope, health, and wellness.
