New Vitae Wellness and Recovery was fortunate to quickly enact safety precautions that stemmed from the challenges associated with COVID-19. This would not have been possible without the amazing employees and staff who quickly adopted practices to ensure the safety of our residents. They are all Healthcare Heroes! Our short appreciation video shows how our staff has been living up to the saying, #NewVitaeStrong!

For more than 30 years, New Vitae Wellness and Recovery has assisted individuals with recovery and skill building following a brain injury. Our services have expanded to include specialized residential supports as well as Neurocognitive Structured Day services. These CARF-accredited, holistic, and individualized services emphasize personal wellness and can be paired with mental health treatment. New Vitae has a proud history of service to men and women who have served in our military. In order to honor our past and current Veterans, we were happy to unveil our new Military Service Mural in late May. The New Vitae Wellness Foundation is pleased to sponsor its next no-cost training to commemorate World Suicide Prevention Day. The virtual event, co-sponsored by New Vitae Wellness and Recovery, presents guest speakers Jordan Burnham and Brandon R. Everett, RN, BSN, CMT, who will review the value of emotional regulation as a treatment for suicidal behavior. Join us online on Sept. 10, 2020 at 11 a.m.

New Vitae Zone Decorating Contest

Residents and staff enjoyed participating in the first ever New Vitae Zone Decorating contest! Decorating began in early June and ran for approximately two weeks, permitting teams from each living space to engage their creativity and design special themes in each residence. After encouraging residents, staff, and our families to vote for the most creative, most detailed, and the biggest wow factor designs, we are happy to present our winning entries!

Keegan Hackman, MSW, LCSW, serves as New Vitae Wellness and Recovery’s Clinical Supervisor. Frequently connecting with staff within our residential services as well as the clinical team within our Quakertown Recovery Center, Keegan guides the provision of services and offers professional supervision for our group of dedicated therapists. The Joint Commission-accredited New Vitae Wellness and Recovery Center offers a variety of services and supports that facilitate holistic wellness. Our clinical services help Veterans, young adults, and other individuals who experience brain injuries, addictions, and co-occurring behavioral health challenges. Our recovery plans emphasize individual needs, and can include psychiatric assessment, medication management, and cutting-edge treatments like deep Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (dTMS).

August 31 is commemorated as International Overdose Awareness Day. New Vitae Wellness and Recovery will be honoring the day with awareness ribbons and a moment of silence. We encourage everyone to learn more about the individual and familial challenges associated with addiction and overdose.
