Recognizing Over 30 Years of Service: Heather Ritton’s Steady Commitment to New Vitae Wellness and Recovery
For more than three decades, Heather Ritton (Kramer) has been a reliable and familiar part of daily life at New Vitae Wellness and Recovery, consistently supporting residents and the rhythm of the home at Quakertown House.
Heather joined New Vitae in 1996, beginning her career in housekeeping at Quakertown House. From those early days, she became known for her strong work ethic and willingness to help wherever she was needed within the house. Over time, her role evolved as the organization grew and changed. She supported many aspects of daily operations, including work in the kitchen and the medication room, gaining a deep understanding of what it takes to keep a residential setting running smoothly. Today, Heather serves as a PCA/Med Tech, continuing her hands-on support of residents at Quakertown House.
When asked what has kept her at New Vitae for over 30 years, Heather points to the relationships that matter most to her. She cites the residents, her coworkers, and Donna and Adam Devlin. Quakertown House has been the only place she has worked, something she takes great pride in.
“Working at the same place for so long means a lot to me,” Heather shared. “It’s the people that kept me here.”
Heather has seen significant change over the years. What once felt simpler has become more complex, with additional documentation, systems, and expectations. Still, she has adapted alongside those changes, continuing to support the people who rely on her each day.
Some of Heather’s favorite memories reflect the sense of family and connection that shaped her experience. She recalls outdoor parties, working alongside coworkers who felt like family, and sharing moments of fun and camaraderie with both staff and residents.
Recently, Heather’s milestone was recognized with a dinner celebration alongside her husband, supervisors, President and CEO Judith O. Yanacek, and owners Adam and Donna Devlin, offering a meaningful opportunity to reflect on her years of service and the impact she has had.
Donna and Adam Devlin shared:
“It has been incredible to witness Heather’s growth since starting here right out of high school. Her dedication, hard work, and compassion are admired by all. She is a trusted part of the day shift and someone we know we can always rely on.”
After more than 30 years, Heather’s story is one of loyalty, consistency, and quiet leadership. She represents the staff members who form the foundation of New Vitae’s work, bringing stability, care, and trust to everyday moments.
Thank you, Heather, for over 30 years of dedication and service to the New Vitae community.
