Accreditations

New Vitae Wellness and Recovery proudly maintains accreditation from the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) for multiple programs across our continuum of care. This includes our Recovery Center, our Residential Treatment Facility for Adults (RTFA) in Philadelphia, and our Action Recovery Brain Injury Program.

CARF accreditation demonstrates our dedication to person-centered, trauma-informed services and integrated behavioral health care. These recognitions validate the quality of our supports for individuals experiencing mental health challenges, substance use disorders, and brain injury—affirming our mission to promote hope, healing, and whole-person recovery.

Licensure

New Vitae Wellness and Recovery’s residential programs are licensed by the Pennsylvania Department of Human Services (DHS) as Personal Care Homes. This includes:

Each site maintains licensure through the ongoing professionalism, compassion, and diligence of our staff, ensuring safe, supportive, and recovery-focused environments for the individuals we serve.

New Vitae Recovery Center is also licensed by the Pennsylvania Department of Human Services to provide outpatient services, including partial hospital supports. Our addiction and complimentary services are licensed by the Pennsylvania Office of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services (OMHSAS) and the Division of Drug and Alcohol Programs (DDAP).

Philadelphia locations are licensed by Pennsylvania Department of Human Services as Residential Treatment Facilities for Adults (RTFA).

Mobile Psych and Peer Support are also licensed by Pennsylvania Department of Human Services.

  • Our psychiatric nursing staff maintains membership with APNA, which provides continuing education and resources for members.

THE AMERICAN RESIDENTIAL TREATMENT ASSOCIATION (ARTA)

  • 30 + year members. ARTA assists individuals and families with finding exceptional residential treatment for those who are encountering the challenges associated with behavioral health diagnoses.

BRAIN INJURY ASSOCIATION OF PENNSYLVANIA (BIAPA)

COMMUNITY INTERGRATION PROGRAM ASSOCIATION (CIPA)

  • New Vitae are founding members of CIPA. CIPA supports individuals with serious mental illness through community integration programs, helping them thrive socially, educationally and recreationally.

THE NATIONAL ALLIANCE ON MENTAL ILLNESS (NAMI)

  • NAMI serves as a powerful advocate for those with a behavioral health diagnosis and works to end the social stigma related to experiencing mental health challenges. Members of the New Vitae staff serve on the Lehigh Valley NAMI Board of Directors.

NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF SOCIAL WORKERS (NASW)

  • New Vitae’s staff includes several members of NASW, which provides training, advocacy, and resources to support the ethical practice of social work.

PENNSYLVANIA ASSOCIATION OF PSYCHIATRIC REHABILITATION SERVICES (PAPRS)

  • PAPRS works to promote the sharing of resources to support excellence in the provision of psychiatric rehabilitation services.

PSYCHIATRIC REHABILITATION ASSOCIATION (PRA)

  • The PRA provides resources, training, and advocacy for individuals who participate in psychiatric rehabilitation There is a strong focus on growing the workforce that serves individuals who are working on achieving their recovery goals.

REHABILITATION AND COMMUNITY PROVIDERS ASSOCIATION (RCPA)

  • The RCPA provides a forum for leaders in the field of behavioral health and residential services to share information, including sample policies, and acquire continuing training and support.

NATIONAL COUNCIL FOR MENTAL WELLBEING

The National Council for Mental Wellbeing is an organization that encourages additional training and support for employees who support individuals with behavioral health challenges.

LEHIGH VALLEY MILITARY AFFAIRS COUNCIL (LVMAC)

  • New Vitae is a member of the Lehigh Valley Military Affairs Council, an organization that works to improve the lives of local military service members. LVMAC works to connect Veterans with local businesses to provide services to them and their families.
