New Vitae Wellness Foundation, in partnership with New Vitae Wellness and Recovery, Marywood University, and the National Association of Social Workers, Pennsylvania Chapter, is proud to offer the next no-cost community education session on Wednesday, November 28th, 2018.  The training, titled, “Resistant Depression: Understanding Treatment Options,” will explore the challenges associated with treatment-resistant depression and offer new ideas for cutting edge therapy options.  Please find our informational flyer here.

Guest speakers will include Dr. Desmond Oathes, PhD, Assistant Professor of Psychiatry and Director of the Oathes Lab at the University of Pennsylvania; Dr. Joyce Balinang, Medical Science Liaison for Genesight, a coporation that completes personalized genetic testing; and Andrew Amick, RN, BSN, Director of Wellness for New Vitae Wellness and Recovery.  Our esteemed guests will examine various treatment angles for difficult depressive symptoms using the lens of their expertise.

The National Association of Social Workers for Pennsylvania (NASW-PA) is offering two continuing education credits for Social Workers, Marriage and Family Therapists, and Licensed Professional Counselors for completing the training ($15 for members, $25 for nonmembers, payable directly to NASW-PA).  The PCB as also approved the session for two hours.
