New Vitae Wellness Foundation Presents Our Next No-Cost Training
The New Vitae Wellness Foundation is pleased to host our next no-cost event on September 10th, 2020 from 11am to 1pm. The training, entitled, “Emotional Regulation as Treatment for Suicidal Behavior,” presents an online learning opportunity with guest speakers Jordan Burnham and Brandon R. Everett, RN, BSN, CMT, who will review both personal and clinical experiences associated with the use of mindfulness in treatment. New Vitae Wellness Foundation is honored to be able to commemorate World Suicide Prevention Day with this supportive training.
Our guest speakers have a wide variety of experiences to share. Jordan Burnham is an award-winning mental health advocate who experienced depression and found recovery supports following a suicide attempt during his senior year of high school. He has shared his story on a variety of television shows and was invited to talk about his experiences at the White House in 2013. Brandon R. Everett, RN, BSN, CMT is an expert in mindfulness meditation. He emphasizes practical application of mindfulness in trainings throughout the greater Philadelphia area and co-facilitated the Trauma-Informed Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction Program in 2019.
Continuing Education Credits (CEU's) are pending for this completely virtual event. We hope that you will join us! To register for the training, please click here.
“I got stronger each day due to the possibilities and strength from being there. My only regret is that I didn’t find New Vitae sooner. Give yourself a chance.”- Belinda J. (former resident)
